We’re open for business over Christmas! (We are closed Xmas, Boxing and New Year’s Days and from 2pm Xmas and New Year’s Eve)
Boot space is important for many car owners — whether it’s fitting in golf clubs for an afternoon on the course, storing your luggage on a long-distance trip or even a large weekly shop — and for some owners, it’s an absolute necessity.
With the rise of SUVs and practical crossovers — and car manufacturers responding to public demand for larger boot space over recent decades — the market isn’t short of options when it comes to cars with extra in the back.
That’s why Select Car Leasing has put together a shortlist of the vehicles in each class with the most boot space for those browsing the market for their next spacious automobile.
A saloon with one of the biggest boots in its class belongs to the Citroen C4 X.
The C4 X is a unique car, in that it blends all of the best elements of an SUV, hatchback and saloon into one attractive package.
And with 510 litres of luggage space available, the Citroen C4 X marries style with practicality. The saloon boot at the rear has a wide tailgate opening for easy access while you'll also find additional stowage space under the boot floor itself.
The C4 X - a rival to cars like the Renault Arkana and Peugeot 408 - is also available to lease as the fully-electric e-C4 X, which unlocks a range of up to 260 miles between charges.

The long-running Skoda Octavia is available to lease in two different guises - as the Octavia Hatchback or Octavia Estate.
And while you might be forgiven for assuming the sleekest version of the Octavia is a 'saloon', you'll actually find a hatchback-style boot at the back that's hinged from the roof and not from below the rear window.
Luggage space is a massive 600 litres, which is only 40 litres down on the Skoda Octavia Estate. No wonder, then, that the Octavia has become one of the go-to lease vehicles among customers who demand affordability and practicality.
Folding the rear seats down also expands the luggage space to an almost van-like 1,555 litres.

Skoda scores another entry into our list of the UK lease cars with the biggest boots.
Like the Octavia, the more upmarket Superb is available as the Superb Hatchback or Superb Estate.
And it's the Superb Estate that leads the way with the latest models offering 690 litres of luggage space, increasing to a gargantuan 1,920 litres with the rear seats folded flat.
With all of that room at the back, the Skoda Superb Estate regularly features in lists of the best cars in the UK for dog lovers while Skoda itself is considered to be one of the most pet-friendly manufacturers available to lease.

Who says you can't have your cake and eat it? Because the VW ID. Buzz doesn't just look great while featuring a state-of-the-art electric powertrain, it also comes with a vast 1,211 litres of luggage space.
That's for the five-seat VW ID. Buzz, though the stylish EV is available as a seven seater in 2024.
Folding the rear seats flat on the five-seat ID. Buzz unlocks 2,205 litres of boot space - which should be more than enough for even the busiest of family weekends away.
The ID. Buzz also boasts a range of up to 258 miles between charges as well as a wealth of creature comforts, including a 10-inch touchscreen and safety-boosting adaptive cruise control.

Coupes aren't typically known for their practicality but there are some exceptions to the rule - and the BMW 4 Series Coupe certainly bucks that trend.
With a 440 litre boot, the BMW 4 Series Coupe has luggage space that's on a par with the similarly-styled Audi A5 Coupe.
What's more, you can also lease the even more practical BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, which comes with four doors (rather than two with the regular 4 Series Coupe) as well as a slightly larger 470-litre boot.
You can also take your pick from a line-up of exhilarating engines with a BMW 4 Series Coupe lease, with potent M440i xDrive models boasting smile-inducing accelerating times.

It's not just prestige you get with a Land Rover Range Rover lease as lease customers will also enjoy a suitcase-swallowing 1,093 litres of luggage space when you load your contents up to the roof.
The Range Rover was facelifted in 2022 to hone its sumptuous looks and to improve tech levels.
It's as adept off road as it is on it, while there are also frugal plug-in hybrid powertrains to be savoured. As Land Rover says of its flagship, the Range Rover promises ‘peerless refinement and luxury'.
Another notable rival when it comes to SUV boot space is the Volkswagen Touareg, which boasts an 810-litre boot while being considerably more affordable to lease compared with the Range Rover.
