Polestar 2 Frequently Asked Questions
The Polestar 2 blends sophistication and quality with a decent ride, good performance even at entry-level and attractive, personality-led looks, added to a classy interior and it comes very well equipped. Although the Volvo shape is recognisable from some angles, it has a distinct personality, with an attractive LED lightbar that runs horizontally along the back of the car. The Polestar has an impressive range, too, especially in the Long-Range variant, which is up there with the best all-electric vehicles. So, we at Select Car Leasing are bound to have a deal to suit all palates and budgets depending on what’s important to you.
With a significant gulf in performance between the entry-level and the top-of-the-range Polestar 2, the leasing price is impacted. But despite this, we keep our prices as low as possible and provide leasing deals that compete with the best on the market. So a Polestar 2 could be on your driveway for under £500 a month. Use the model search to find out exactly which Polestar 2 is the best fit for you.
The Polestar 2 is very well equipped as standard, and even if you choose the entry-level model, you can be confident you won't be short-changed and miss out on some of the best features it offers. For example, 19-inch alloys are included, along with two large screens for the infotainment and digital instrument display. At the same time, you'll also get many convenient features to make life that little bit easier, such as a powered tailgate and keyless entry. Meanwhile, dual-zone climate control will keep everyone at the right temperature in the summer and winter, and during the latter, heated seats will help you warm right up. Numerous packs can also be added to heat the rear seats, provide additional safety features, add a panoramic sunroof and upgrade the sound system. In terms of safety: absolutely. The Polestar 2 was put through its paces in an extensive safety assessment by specialists at Euro NCAP and earned a top five-star rating, scoring a remarkable 93% for adult occupants. It includes assistance for steering, acceleration and braking, plus automatic emergency braking. At the same time, an optional pack called Pilot Lite adds rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane centring, park assist and a 360-degree camera. Regarding practicality, it looks like a saloon from some angles, but it’s actually a hatchback, creating a large opening to access a generous amount of boot space. Meanwhile, the 2’s cabin has a decent amount of space, especially in the front.
There aren’t any trim levels in the traditional sense, but the Polestar 2 is available in numerous variants depending on the level of performance you want. For example, a single-motor version with front-wheel drive, producing 231PS, is available with a 69kWh or 78kWh battery. In contrast, the two dual-motor versions are all-wheel drive, providing a Long-Range version capable of up to 341 miles or a Performance version with 476PS.

About the Polestar 2
The Polestar 2 was launched in 2020, five years after the company was brought fully under the watchful eyes of Volvo.
And from that point on, the Polestar 2 has evolved and improved - with a major refresh arriving in 2023 - to ensure that it continues to take the fight to the Tesla Model 3.
In typically-understated, Scandinavian fashion, Polestar says the ‘2’ has been designed to be ‘bold yet understated - futuristic without being flashy’. The cabin is minimalist yet classic, and features a large 11.15-inch touchscreen as standard.
While single motor, rear-wheel drive versions of the Polestar 2 offer affordability, the ‘Performance’ models offer serious sporting abilities.
Why lease a Polestar 2?
Although it has its own design, character and personality, the Polestar 2 is based on a Volvo, and that’s not a bad place to start.
Volvo is on the ascendency now, with some of its cars proving worthy challengers to the likes of Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, so it stands to reason that Polestar does the same.
The Polestar 2 offers sharp handling and competitive performance while cutting emissions to zero and providing significant financial savings on day-to-day running costs.
There are faster versions available, too, and each one comes with a generous equipment list.
