Why lease an ORA?
Headquartered in Hebei province, ORA is owned by Great Wall Motors, or ‘GWM’, one of China’s most high profile auto manufacturers. You might already be familiar with GWM, as it sold the ‘Steed’ pick-up truck in Europe up until 2017.
Now ORA - which is short for ‘open, reliable and alternative’ - is on a mission to shake-up the electric vehicle (EV) market in Britain, starting with the Funky Cat.
The Funky Cat promises ‘smiles for miles’ and it’s certainly styled to please. ORA also says the Cat is about ‘retro design, forward thinking innovation’.
You can expect a range of up to 191 miles between charges, courtesy of a 48 kWh battery, as well as power of 171 PS and 250 Nm of torque. Not sure what that translates to? Check out our guide on what kWh and kW really means
The Funky Cat can support rapid charging at speeds up to 80 kW DC, which means a battery restore from 10-80% takes 40 minutes.
