In terms of its dimensions, the MG4 EV is roughly the same size as a Volkswagen Golf and comes with 363 litres of boot space, making it a practical lease car for families who want to drive down the cost of their fuel bill.

The ‘SE Long Range’ and ‘Trophy Long Range’ make use of a larger 64 kWh battery which unlocks a greater range of up to 281 miles. That makes the regular MG4 EV a real rival to the Volkswagen ID.3 and the Renault Megane E-Tech.
The MG4 ‘Extended Range’ model gets a larger battery still, at 77 kWh, and can travel up to 323 miles.
And there’s even a performance, hot-hatch version of the MG4.
The MG4 EV ‘XPOWER’ is packing 435 PS and boasts a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 3.8 seconds. A rival to the Cupra Born, the rapid XPOWER model also enjoys a range of up to 239 miles between charges.
The MG4 EV is also generously equipped as standard. You can expect a 10.25 inch infotainment screen, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and the ‘MG Pilot’ driver assistance system, which features Intelligent Speed Limit Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert technology.
And as you move up through the trim levels you can enjoy extras such as Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, a 360 degree camera, wireless phone charging and a full leather interior.
The MG4 EV joins the growing list of affordable electric cars from MG, which includes the MG5 EV estate and the MG ZS EV compact SUV.
