Mercedes EQA Review
This is the smallest and most affordable electric SUV in the Mercedes-Benz stable. The EQA is a rival to premium cars, and boasts several power options, and a range of up to 264 miles on a single battery charge.
We’re open for business over Christmas! (We are closed Xmas, Boxing and New Year’s Days and from 2pm Xmas and New Year’s Eve)
The latest EQA is something of a landmark model for Mercedes-Benz, being the firm’s first ever fully-electric compact SUV, similar in size to the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
And because its refined exterior also boasts cutting-edge aerodynamics, it comes with an exceptional range of 301 miles between charges, which trumps the likes of the much desired Jaguar I-Pace and the Audi e-tron.
Read moreWith the launch model ‘EQA 250’, car lease customers can expect a 140 kW battery and around 190 hp, while more powerful versions will follow. The EQA 250 is able to accelerate from 0-62 mph in an extremely respectable 8.9 seconds. And it can also be recharged from flat to full using a traditional wall box or public charging station in less than six hours.
The EQA, which sits below the larger EQC in the Mercedes-Benz all-electric line-up, has an interior that’s as sophisticated as the technology which underpins it. It comes with Mercedes-Benz’ acclaimed ‘MBUX’ infotainment system, which uses artificial intelligence to improve the way it operates, based on your personal preferences, and can also be enjoyed with a full-colour head-up display as well as navigation with augmented reality.
Meanwhile, taking an EQA lease provides you with Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Brake Assist as standard, ensuring high levels of passenger safety. Zero emissions also means great news for car leasing customers looking for a company car, as they’ll pay just 1% Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax for the year 2021-22. Mercedes-Benz proudly says the EQA epitomises how they see the future of ‘e-mobility’ - and looking at how accomplished it is, it’s hard to argue with them.

This is the smallest and most affordable electric SUV in the Mercedes-Benz stable. The EQA is a rival to premium cars, and boasts several power options, and a range of up to 264 miles on a single battery charge.
In simple terms, leasing is the single most cost-effective and hassle free method of driving a brand-new car, and with Select Car Leasing you can be sure that you are in safe hands.
The EQA gives you all the luxury and badge prestige you expect from a Mercedes-Benz, but with a zero-emission, all-electric power source under the bonnet. It’s the smallest of Mercedes’ growing electric SUV range and the most affordable, but still features cutting-edge tech, a fantastic interior and a choice of trims and power levels.
Unlike some electric cars, which just feature a single battery and motor combination, the EQA comes with a choice of several power outputs and several trims. You can pick from two or four-wheel drive, too, which means there’s a fairly wide range of leasing rates. But whichever model takes your fancy, you can take advantage of Select Car Leasing’s market-leading links with the automotive industry. These let us offer you the most competitive deals and special offers in the country, so why not browse the least of Mercedes EQA rates and see which one matches your needs?
The electric powertrain is the EQA’s main feature, meaning that it can offer the size and practicality of a small SUV but with no polluting emissions from a petrol or diesel engine. It boasts a range of up to 264 miles per battery charge, and there are three different power outputs to choose from. Even the entry-level EQA 250 model, which has front-wheel drive, boasts punchy performance, but the four-wheel-drive EQA 300 and EQA 350 models push the power up still further. You can top up the battery using a home wallbox or at a high-speed public charger at up to 100kW.
The EQA was reviewed and tested by independent safety organisation Euro NCAP in 2019 and was given the maximum five-star score, with great marks in adult and child safety tests. All models come with just about every available safety system as standard, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist and a blind-spot warning system. When it comes to practicality, there are a few rivals that will give you more interior space but the EQA is still roomy. Two adults will have no issues in the back, and three grown-ups could do short journeys too. The boot is on the tight side though, with less space than the non-electric Mercedes GLA or rivals like the Volkswagen ID.4.
Once you’ve decided which power option you want, there are three trim choices to choose from. The entry-level Sport model is far from spartan, with an electric boot lid, alloy wheels and LED headlights, as well as parking sensors and a rear-view camera. The AMG Line model gives you a sportier look outside with a bodykit and heated sport seats, while the AMG Line Premium model has bigger wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof and keyless entry and start, as well as an upgraded sound system.
I would definitely recommend Select Car Leasing. They have been very helpful and efficient during the whole process. They always called me back and the online portal to track your order is very useful.
This is my 4th lease car through Select Car Leasing. I would firstly say that Richard Taylor who has organised all four purchases was again superb, keeping me informed of all progress from start to finish. His style is professional but very personable which I appreciate. There was a hold up in proceedings due to the finance companies strict procedures but I guess this can be expected in the 'claim' world we live in! I will definitely be using Select Car Leasing again but on my next vehicle I will start organising it a bit earlier than usual. Thanks again Richard very much appreciated, I'm loving the new car!
Great support all the way thank you David
