Ford Focus Frequently Asked Questions
The Ford Focus is one of the best-known cars on British roads. That ubiquity might put some customers off, but to ignore it is to miss out on one of the best family cars you can lease. There’s a reason it’s been so popular for more than 20 years – it’s really good.
Affordable, fun to drive, practical and efficient, the Focus is a benchmark that numerous rival cars aspire to. It’s available either as a hatchback or a roomy estate, and with petrol or diesel engines. Depending on spec, it can be an efficient runabout, a sporty hot hatch, or just about everything in between.
One reason that the Ford Focus has become so popular is that it’s not expensive to lease or run. The rates will vary however, thanks to the spectrum of models from basic family town car to powerful, feature-packed hot hatch.
Whichever model you go for though, Select Car Leasing’s market-leading links to the automotive industry mean we can offer some of the UK’s most competitive rates and special offers. Check out the full list of Ford Focus lease deals to see which one suits you best.
The Focus has plenty to appeal to different customers. Chief among those is the amount it gives you for the money, with a wide choice of models to suit different requirements. One of its major features is the quality of its driving experience; even the entry-level models feel nimble through the corners, and they’re genuinely fun to drive.
This is especially true of the ST hot hatch models. On top of that, they’re well-made and practical, with lots of space for passengers and luggage, especially in the estate model. The Focus Active model even tries to lure customers from SUVs, with its higher ground clearance and chunky styling.
The latest Focus was tested by independent safety organisation Euro NCAP in 2019, and was given a maximum five-star score, with particular praise given to its adult occupant protection. All models come with a good selection of the latest safety features, including automatic emergency braking.
When it comes to practicality, you’ll easily get two adults or three children in the back seats with headroom and legroom to spare, although if you’re going for a model with a sunroof, be aware that it does take some headroom away for the tallest rear passengers. The boot is a decent size, although there are rivals that offer a bit more space. The estate version has even more room if you regularly lug around lots of stuff.
Well, how long have you got? The trim level list for the Focus is a long one, and that’s even before you decide which of the several petrol and diesel engines you want. The range starts with the Zetec Edition, which comes with 16-inch alloys, air conditioning and an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, as well as front and rear parking sensors.
From there the trims continue and the feature list goes up and up. Next up is the Titanium Edition, then the Titanium X Edition, followed by the sporty ST-Line Edition and the more feature-packed ST-Line X Edition. The Focus Active jacks up the suspension if you need to venture onto mild off-road territory, while the Focus ST packs in lots of features and a powerful engine for proper sporty fun.
