A 1.2-litre ‘Puretech’ engine provides power of 130 hp and will return up to 48 miles to the gallon
You can enjoy the elegance of a saloon combined with the versatility of an estate, and the road-presence of an SUV, with the brilliantly-styled and spacious Citroen C5 X.
It’s an estate that also provides motoring ‘serenity’ for lease customers, according to Citroen, coming with one of the plushest suspension set-ups on the market.
And when you also add an efficient plug-in hybrid powertrain to the mix, the C5 X is a strong competitor to rivals like the Peugeot 408, DS 4, or the Skoda Octavia Estate. Read more
The C5 X is the only bona fide ‘estate’ in the Citroen range, being a sleeker and more low-slung version of the C5 Aircross SUV. Looks wise, it really is an eye-catching lease car, coming with a powerful front end and eye-catching bonnet complete with distinctive twin scoops.
And Citroen says the C5 X isn’t just a ‘flagship’ it’s also influenced by the design of the classic, mould-breaking ‘CX’, which sold between 1974 and 1991.
There’s an ‘Advanced Comfort’ active suspension system with a choice of three modes, as well as laminated front and rear windows to drown out the sound of road and wind noise.
With 545 litres of boot space, which stretches to a vast 1,640-litres with the rear seats folded, the C5 X adds real practicality to the luxury on offer with a lease.
And the C5 X comes with either a traditional petrol engine or a plug-in hybrid.
The latter of those engines offers power of 225hp and a zero-emissions electric range of up to 31 miles - which could prove incredibly tempting for business lease customers looking to reduce their Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax bills.
The C5 X is also at the cutting edge of technology when it comes to radar, cameras and sensor-based systems. The ‘Highway Driver Assist’ offers ‘semi-autonomous level 2 driving’, combining Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Keeping Assist.

Citroen first launched the C5 X in 2022 as a sibling car to the regular C5 Aircross SUV.
And the C5 X’s styling is quintessentially French, combining all of the best elements from SUV, estate, and fastback bodystyles into one flagship product.
The design of the C5 X pays homage to the classic Citroen ‘CX’ of the 1970s and 80s, and it’s an eye-catching lease car indeed.
You can enjoy the Citroen C5 X with either a traditional 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.6-litre plug-in hybrid that unlocks a range of up to 39 miles using electricity alone.
One of the big reasons you’ll lease a Citroen C5 X is for its comfort and ride quality.
The fastback comes with active suspension, where progressive hydraulic cushions help to smooth-out even the roughest road surfaces.
A serene interior also features laminated front and rear windows to drown-out any noise coming from outside the cabin.
Meanwhile the C5 X is also spacious, boasting with a 545-litre boot that makes it practical for even the most adventurous families.

The C5 X’s sophisticated plug-in hybrid engine can see you travel 39 miles using electricity alone, and also offers decent performance.
The Peugeot 408 Fastback is available as a plug-in hybrid and marries the practicality of a hatchback with the sophistication of a saloon, and also the ride-height of an SUV.

Citroen, famed for its often-outlandish designs, is at it again, this time launching the C5 X. But is this relatively unique car any good? We took a couple of versions for a spin to find out what all the fuss was about.
In simple terms, leasing is the single most cost-effective and hassle free method of driving a brand-new car, and with Select Car Leasing you can be sure that you are in safe hands.
A really professional and amazing experience from beginning to end. I feel I got a great deal on the car and good options available in terms of spec, not just a standard model. Sam was amazing throughout the process, although there were some challenges along the way, Sam was excellent in terms of follow up and communication, and went above and beyond to get the car ordered and delivered. Thank you select team.
Select Car Leasing provided good service and responded quickly when questions raised. They ultimately delivered on what was agreed. Delay with vehicle supply out of their hands - but frustrating at times. Effectively a nine month wait.
I do highly recommend leasing consultant Danny Beecroft, who help me to choose the right car for me. He takes the time to answer any questions I may have , and provided me with all the options available. He made the the whole process to go smoothly and without the stress. I believe the select car leasing is one of the best leasing companies on the market and I am glad I could be a part of it.
