There are five different trim levels to the Transit Connect, from fleet-friendly entry-level models to surprisingly luxurious or sporting models.
Three engine options are available, one petrol and two diesel variants, which doesn’t sound that comprehensive, but they’re spread nicely to appeal to many users.
I could not recommend Select enough and the amazing service I had from my consultant Shane Newton. Shane regularly updated me on progress of my new vehicle, and was always so helpful in answering any queries I had regarding my order throughout the whole process - no question was silly - he always responded promptly whether that be through email or phone call. The Transit Connect offers the space and versatility of a compact van but with the drivability of a car. Want a longer load pace? Fine, as there’s a long-wheelbase option for you that can take up to 3.6m3 of cargo. Do you need more than just the two seats? Not a problem — the Transit Connect has options for an extra row of seats in the double cab-in-van configuration. Have to carry heavy loads? Payload options extend to 961kg.
Loading and unloading are simple, with a kerb-side sliding door on the van variants, and rear doors that open to 180 degrees for unrestricted access. There’s an option for a load-through bulkhead which has a flap through to the cabin to create space for longer cargo, such as pipes. There is also an option for a partially glazed bulkhead, rather than just steel, improving rearward visibility and safety.
Sign up for FordPass Pro, and there’s an app to help monitor the health and security of up to five vehicles, with features such as security and vehicle health alerts, keeping the vans on the road and the cargo secure. Owner-operators will be reassured, and fleet managers will be kept informed and happy.
