About Select Car Leasing
Select was started in 2004 by two men with a true passion for cars and people, Mark Tongue and James
O’Malley.
With over 10 years of customer service experience in the motor trade, the pair had a
vision to provide people with a smart and hassle-free way of obtaining a brand new car through the
concept of leasing. From the back room of a house in Reading, they leased their first car in March of
that year.

The significant on-going growth we have enjoyed as a company over the past 20 years has been in large part due to customer's loyalty and referral. Today we are proud to be one of the UK's leading vehicle leasing companies.
With over 55,000 personal and business customers serviced to date across all parts of the UK, this year alone close to 30,000 people will order a car from Select. We employ approximately 250 staff across 12 locations in the UK, including our flagship retail store in Reading where customers can come in and meet the team.

Supporting Charities
We're making a difference through our ongoing commitments to several national and local charities, including: Children with Cancer; Rethink Mental Illness; Sue Ryder and CAAP.
We are also a key sponsor of our local Championship football club Reading FC.
Reading FC
In January 2016 we became a key sponsor of Championship football club Reading FC and as a result, our company name appears on the dugouts and around the ground at every home fixture. We've always been based in Reading so it's a great opportunity for us to work with the club and engage the wider community. Company Director Mark Tongue said "Having recently acquired additional premises in Reading town centre, this is the perfect time to secure a partnership with a football club so openly invested in its local community. We are very much looking forward to working with the Royals and connecting with the club’s supporters."
BVRLA
Select Car leasing are a member of the industry trade body, the BVRLA (British Vehicle, Rental and Leasing Association). All BVRLA leasing brokers must adhere to their mandatory Code of Conduct, which is there to ensure that the customer benefits from the highest standards of service, fair terms and conditions, transparent and accurate information and a complaint resolution service. In addition all broker members are audited or inspected to BVRLA standards.
